Pauline Doyle, proprietor of Suir Engineering, generously chose our Charity to benefit from the proceeds. The Colm Doyle Memorial Golf Classic is a memorial to Pauline’s son, Colm, who died at a very young age. Pauline has already contributed generously to our many fundraisers.
The Golf Classic was played over two days and three golf courses – The Gold Coast, Dungarvan and West Waterford. Ten teams participated, including our own – The Marfans – Liam Tobin, Kieran McGrath and Michael McGrath. The weather was beautiful, giving full advantage to the magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean, Dungarvan Bay, The Comeragh and Knockmealdown Mountains.
Big thanks to Pauline Doyle and Kieran Quigley for their generosity. Congratulations Kieran on a job very well done.
This raised €608

We all had a successful and most enjoyable night at what is now an annual event. The competent quizmaster was Michael O’Brien who gives his time and expertise voluntarily. This is the second table quiz held at The Showboat, where there were twenty tables. The fundraiser was very well supported and as ever, thanks to all our loyal supporters.
The teachers, secretary, parents and pupils put in a tremendous effort and we are most grateful for their support. The teachers also bought a large number of The Marfans Research Foundation Christmas Cards. A big thank you to all.
